All you need to know about finding Gold in Fairyland!
Purchasing gold helps the developers to keep Fairyland running and ever evolving but for some this is not always an option. Unlike some other games there are a number of ways to find free gold (the currency needed to play) in Fairyland without ever having to purchase any.
You can collect gold here occasionally using the hunt the bug option.
Hunt The Bug!
From time to time, a ‘bug’ can be found hiding within Fairyland and if you find it and click it, you’ll receive a bonus pot of 20 Gold! It doesn’t show up very often, but is always welcome when it does 🙂
 Herbalism
A great way to make gold is by using Herbalism.
Try Herbalism!
Herbalism is a mini-game within Fairyland where you
try to discover the recipes for the 10 Magical Elixirs of Fairyland, using herbs which you have grown and
harvested from your Garden.On the way, you can make a good amount of Gold
for yourself too 🙂
Don’t forget that even once you have discovered all of
the recipes for the magical elixirs you can still get 2 gold
by repeating a formula with one wrong ingredient,
​you can do this as many times as you want to!

​You will collect gold as you level up through the game. You can use our leveling up guide

​Level up gold is only available once for each level.

Spot ‘First’ Wildlife!
​If you are very lucky you might be able to find gold when spotting some first wildlife in other gardens.
You will not earn the gold bonus if you spot the first in your own garden and the gold bonus will only
ever be available on that one first.
All wildlife give you Diamond rewards when you spot them. However, some wildlife (e.g. Mythologicals, Endangered, Butterflies) will also give bonus Gold for the first time they are spotted in a Garden. It’s not easy to find and spot these ‘firsts’, but it’s definitely rewarding when you do!A Gold bonus is available if you’re lucky enough to spot the first of

Dusting Restrictions
Unfortunately, some people had been setting up fake Facebook accounts just to collect Gold and send it all
to their main account by using Gold Dust. This could have caused the application to be suspended by Facebook for
encouraging people to set up fake accounts (as well as being considered cheating!) Fairyland therefore had to
​restrict the Gold Dust feature such that only purchased Gold can be gifted.
You will not be able to dust any FREE gold.
Remember also that anyone can water any Garden, whatever the level – it’s only the direct transfer of
Gold which is restricted, in order to prevent this problem from happening.

You can bulk-send up to 20 dusts at a time Gold Dusting is slightly more restrictive – you need to have purchased Gold
sometime in the last 6 months to be able to sprinkle it (if someone purchased Gold for you then that also counts as a purchase, so you are free to sprinkle it 🙂
You can’t sprinkle gold which was collected for free.
Diamond Dusting should work pretty much the same as before, i.e. anyone can sprinkle lower levels only
(or if you have purchased 1000 Gold sometime in the last 6 months, you can sprinkle anyone 🙂
You can buy any amount of Gold to unlock “Gold Dusting” for 6 months (just the minimum 300 gold if you like.)
But it won’t let you send more than you have purchased overall. (This is to prevent people “unlocking”
Gold Dusting with a single small purchase, and then sending themselves free Gold for the whole of the
next 6 months, which some people were doing previously, believe it or not!)
If you have already purchased dusts which you find you can no longer send due to the new restriction,
please contact Support (using the “Contact Us” link in the game) and they can convert them back into Gold for you 🙂
The aim of these changes is simply to remove the possibility for abusing the gold/diamond
dusting feature by using multiple accounts.
