You have probably seen some of the special effects available in Fairyland while visiting other gardens and may be wondering how to get one for yourself. Here you can find out what you need to do to get each special effect.

Some effects are only available through use of stardust.
Once you harvest any of the flowers needed to produce an effect, the background effect will disappear.
Tip : You can use a single stardust to freeze all background effects currently in your garden, you will then be able to harvest all of the plants used to create the effects without losing the effect. The background will then keep forever. If you wish to remove some, click on the “Freeze background effects” icon underneath your garden – a list of effects will pop up with “remove” option next to each one – you can remove one, a few or all of them (no charge for removing). The list will also tell you if you have any effects in place which are currently not frozen. To add such an effect to your list you will need to use the stardust again.

Plus you will need a ready for harvest First Flower of Spring. It will only rain once every 6 hours, lasting an hour each time. The effect will stop after 2 days at which point you will need to grow another First Flower of Spring to make it rain again.

When you plant a Shamrock it will randomly produce either a 3 leaf or 4 leaf Shamrock when fully grown. If you are lucky enough to produce a 4 leaf Shamrock you will also get a garden full of tiny Shamrock’s on the ground. The effect will end when the Shamrock is ready for harvest.

When Fully Grown (or Ready For Harvest), the Earth Flower will allow you to turn out the lights in your Garden for 1 hour at the time of your choosing – aim for 8:30pm on March 31st (2012 – subject to change each year), your local time. Simply sprinkle a Gold Dust on the Earth Flower (don’t worry it does not deduct any actual Gold Dust) to turn out the lights!

A Rainbow Egg is dropped by every 10th Easter Bunny you spot, you must have an empty bird nest ready in your garden first.
After the rainbow chick has hatched from the rainbow egg the rainbow eggshell becomes a magical pot!
Simply plant a daffodil in the Rainbow Eggshell to produce a double rainbow effect in your garden.

Once the pumpkin is fully grown, you have one hour to grow your pumpkin as large as you can by
attracting and spotting halloween seasonal wildlife Crows add 10lbs, pygmy mice add 4lbs and all
other wildlife add 2lbs to your pumpkin.

Plant the Rainbow Butterpillaflora in the Rainbow Cup to create a rainbow in your garden, the Rainbow Butterpillaflora must be sparkling (the plant must be attracting a butterfly to sparkle) otherwise it won’t work. The Rainbow stays until the flower stops sparkling, that is when the butterfly was spotted or until the Butterpillaflora is RFH.
Tip
If you wish to keep the Rainbow longer don’t put tropical fruits in your garden 😉
